Emergency Housing (Shelters)

Most emergency housing (shelters) in St Louis require a referral. You can be referred in two ways, either by phone or in person. By phone, you can call the St. Louis Region Housing Helpline at (314) 802-5444. The hotline is open from 7:30am to 8pm, but it’s best to call early if you want a bed for that night. After 8pm, you can call 211.

You can also receive a walk-in referral at the St. Patrick’s Center, which is located at 800 N. Tucker, St. Louis, MO 63101. The welcome center is open Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm.
