Secondary sources provide information about events or topics that were not experienced first-hand. Usually written after the events or topics under investigation took place. Secondary sources contain works that analyze, assess, or interpret primary sources. Secondary sources may contain, but are not limited to, scholarly articles and books, literary reviews, textbooks, and commentaries, among many more possibilities.
