Tattoo Ink: Black and Grey or Color

Black and Gray Tattoos

Black and gray tattoos are the most common tattoos. "Black and grey" tattoos refer to a style of tattooing that uses only black ink and varying shades of grey to create bold or delicate tattoos. Black ink and black and gray tattoos tend to last longer and require fewer touch-ups than most color tattoos. It shows up on all skin tones, and can be made denser to add depth and dimension to a tattoo.

Color Tattoos

Color tattoos use a range of inks to bring them to life, from bold primary shades that make an impact, to lighter tones for a softer look.  Often, colored tattoo ink fades more quicker than black and gray ink, so the tattoo may need a touchup every few years. Certain colors tend to show up on different skin tones more or less vividly.

  • 3D Tattoos  This type of tattoo gives the illusion of being 3 dimensional i.e. above the skin or even coming from within.  Shadows, highlights and using various geometrical aspects make the image appear 3D. (tattoonewsdelhi)
