The U.S. Forest Service office of Watershed, Fish, Wildlife, Air and Rare Plants (WFWARP) is the lead governmental agency for BatsLIVE: A Distance Learning Adventure. This site includes webcasts, webinars, resources and Project EduBat that educates people about bats.

The mission of the Bat World Sanctuary:

Providing permanent sanctuary for non-releasable bats.
The protection and conservation of wild bat colonies.
Promoting the humane treatment of bats in captivity.
Educating the public about the importance of bats.
Training animal care professionals on the proper treatment of bats

A division of the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Bureau of Land Management was established in 1946. Today, the Bureau of Land Management is the nation's largest land manager. They manage 245 million acres of public lands—that’s one in ten acres in the country—and 700 million acres of mineral estate. These public lands and subsurface acres are integral to the lives and livelihoods of communities and families across the country. The Agreement on the Conservation of Populations of European Bats was set up in 1991. Recognizing the unfavorable conservation status of bats in Europe, its main goal developed into a framework for the member countries and those that have not yet joined to collaborate for the conservation of bats throughout Europe.

Lubee Bat Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving bats and their habitats through awareness, education and conservation with a focus on youth and community engagement.

The National Cave and Karst Research Institute (NCKRI) is a non-profit government-supported institute headquartered in the City of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Its goals are to facilitate, support, conduct and promote programs in cave and karst education, research, environmental management, and data acquisition and sharing.

(December 14, 2023) – The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) attained $769,000 in grants to implement fungal treatment methods and enhance habitat management to reduce the effects of white-nose syndrome (WNS) in the states of Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington and the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario.
