Communication in the Workplace Guide

Healthy Workplaces

According to the American Psychological Association (APA):

"A healthy workplace fosters employee health and well-being and enhances organizational performance. Psychological science can inform how we optimize the workplace in a changing world, from supporting employee well-being to improving employee motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational efficiency. Although there is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to creating a healthy workplace, the practices that help create a healthy and productive work environment fall into some general categories: employee involvement, growth and development opportunities, health and safety initiatives, work-life balance and flexibility, employee recognition, and effective two-way communication in an organization."
