EBSCOhost Web offers access to more than 40 databases, which pull articles from hundreds of thousands of sources. This page offers basic steps for searching for periodicals within the databases. For instructions on specific databases within EBSCO, please see the subpages on this tab.
1. You can search for a publication by name, or you can scroll through the list to see what publications are available. Click Publications on the menu to the left to begin the search.
If you know the name of the periodical you are looking for, continue to Step 2. If you want to see a complete list of periodicals available through the EBSCO system, skip to Step 5.
2. To see which databases have a particular publication, begin to type the name of the publication into the search box.
3. Select the publication you want to view.
4. You will see the entry for the publication you selected along with additional similar titles if applicable. The databases containing the publication are listed at the bottom of the entry. Click on the database name to begin searching within that publication.
5. If you want to see which periodicals are available through the EBSCO system, select a letter from the top row of letters.
6. Due to the vast number of periodicals within the EBSCO databases, we recommend you select a second letter. For example, Select H/HA to see all publications that begin with HA.
7. Use the filters on the left to narrow down your search options. For example, you can filter by journals, newspapers, newsletters, etc.
