2025 Beekeeping Workshop & Honey Show - Saturday, February 8 - Sunset Hills, MissouriTheir 2025 Workshop will be held on February 8th, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, at the Holiday Inn at Sunset Hills and will provide instruction for beginning and experienced beekeepers. The courses will focus on beekeeping as a craft, and the biology of the honeybee as a super-organism. Price includes continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments (provided by the Twisted Tree) and a beginning beekeeper’s book for those taking the Beginners Course (a $20 book value). Also the Beginner’s Course ticket includes a follow up session on February 25th, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at The Lodge in Des Peres. This session is designed to get you ready to start keeping bees in the Spring.
The Beginners Beekeeping Course. Intended for persons with no prior beekeeping experience. This class will cover all aspects of basic beekeeping to prepare students to start beekeeping in the spring.
The Experienced Beekeepers Course. Tailored towards intermediate and expert level beekeepers and will place special emphasis on biology, queen rearing, pest control, and colony behavior.
To Support New Beekeepers. EMBA sponsors cooperative purchasing of nucleus colonies and queens for delivery in the spring, along with field workshops throughout the season at the Club’s teaching apiary.
