Networking can be a very important part of the job search, and an important part of many professions. But in he job search we may find ourselves in situations where we might not have the best topics to discuss, particularly if this is an industry specific or company specific meeting. You can use some of these resources to have a few talking points at hand and ready to go as you make serious small talk with individuals responsible for hiring decisions, or even those that can put in a good word for you.

Identify and craft high quality and informed "ice-breaker" questions and insights for executives in various roles in an industry.

Search for local companies in the local news, any changes happening? Use the lists to see how the company stands amongst other regional peers. You might see the person you networked with appear in this publication.
