At Brightside St. Louis, their mission is to improve the quality of life in our community by educating, engaging and inspiring St. Louisans to make our region cleaner, greener and more environmentally sustainable.

The EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden is a group devoted to an increasingly vital goal: conservation of energy and other natural resources for the future, otherwise known as “sustainability” - meeting the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The Missouri Botanical Garden's mission is driven by the need to protect and conserve plants and their ecosystems. Significant resources are invested in developing and sharing new discoveries in plant science and using that knowledge to help manage those ecosystems here and around the world.

Missouri Coalition for the Environment (MCE) is Missouri’s independent, citizens’ environmental organization for clean water, clean air, clean energy, and a healthy environment. They are a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) state-level environmental advocacy organization, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a state-wide partner supporting allied organizations and initiatives around the state.

To protect and manage the fish, forest, and wildlife resources of the state; to facilitate and provide opportunity for all citizens to use, enjoy, and learn about these resources.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources protects our air, land, water, and mineral resources; preserves our unique natural and historic places; and provides recreational and learning opportunities; while promoting the environmentally sound and energy-efficient operations of businesses, communities, agriculture, and industry for the benefit of all Missourians.

The districts provide information and education, financial incentives, and technical support with design, implementation and maintenance to voluntarily implement soil and water conservation practices that decrease soil erosion and protect water resources.

Working with Missouri farmers, they take a balanced approach to sustainable agriculture with a shared goal benefiting the land and their bottom line.

Since 1984 Seed St. Louis has connected people to the land, to their food, and to each other. They are a 501c3 nonprofit who supports a network of over 250 community gardens, school gardens, and urban orchards in neighborhoods throughout the St. Louis Region. Their purpose is to provide communities with the tools, education, and empowerment to grow their own food.

The Sierra Club is the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States.
