It's okay not to know what you want to do for a career. Have some fun while taking these quizzes to learn more about potential careers based on your interests, skills, and the level of training/education you might be willing to tackle.
Peterson's offers a career quiz to see what kinds of careers might match your interests and anticipated education level. You must create a free Peterson's account to access the quiz. Click Log In/Sign Up at the upper right corner to get started. After you have created an account:
1. On the Peterson's homepage, click the Browse Menu button.
2. Click Explore Careers.
3. Click Find a career. This moves the career quiz to your personal learning resources.
4. At the top of the screen, click My Resources. This opens your personal learning resources page, which holds all the courses you have selected.
5. Find the Find a Career course, and click Go To Course.
1. Complete the quiz.
2. Take a look at the interest categories O*NET explores. Click on the blue links to learn more about the categories.
3. Click on the blue links to learn what each level of training/education includes.
4. Select the level you think you might be interested in attaining.
5. View your results.
6. Click on the job zone numbers to change your possible job zone.
1. Click Sign In/Register to create an account.
2. Click the Home button on the banner to go back to the homepage. Make sure Public Library is selected under the search box rather than College Library or High School Library.
3. Click on Job and Career Accelerator.
4. Select Find a Career Match.
5. Select Find a Career Match again.
6. Click on Skills Matcher.
7. When you have completed the quiz, click Submit My Answers.
8. Click View Matches.
9. Click on one of the matches to learn more about the occupation such as what it is, how to become that, how much they make, etc.
