The Penrose Park Velodrome is a public, open access velodrome in the City of St. Louis. Resurfaced in re-enforced concrete in 2019 through a partnership between the City of St. Louis and the St. Louis cycling community, the Penrose Park Velodrome offers a venue for training and racing throughout the year in good weather. Their track, originally constructed in 1962 at 1/5th of a mile, currently measures 322 meters per lap. Minimal facilities, fast riders, open to all. The velodrome is located in a City of St. Louis park and is open from dawn to dusk. Missouri’s Only Velodrome. Born in 1962. Reborn in 2019.

A bicycling group located in the metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri area offering group rides at various ability levels. The purpose of the Club is to encourage and facilitate recreational bicycling activities as part of a healthy lifestyle, which shall be accomplished by organizing and conducting recreational rides, promoting biking safety, providing social opportunities for club members, and gathering and disseminating information about recreational bicycling, and any other lawful activities.

They have three main areas of focus: advocacy, education and planning. They uniquely occupy a place at the table to foster change at local, state, and federal levels making walking and biking better for everyone. They teach adults and youth practical skills that make walking and biking easier. They bring public officials and residents together to create plans for streets that reflect best practices for encouraging walking and biking.
