Neighboring Guide

Founded in 2011, Goodnet connects people around the world with opportunities for doing good: from volunteering, charity work, microfunding and creativity to green tech, water conservation, collaborative consumption and mindful living. It’s a network that empowers users to independently take positive action and amplify their goodness - anytime, anywhere and in the field of interest closest to their hearts.

The Hopeful Neighborhood Project was created to share resources and tools with people to help them engage with their neighbors. That engagement can lead to deeper community connections, and those connections help create change in neighborhoods, to pursue the common good, right where people live.

September 28th – October 4th is Missouri Good Neighbor Week. Signed into law in 2022, Missouri Good Neighbor Week encourages citizens of Missouri to “participate in events and activities to establish connections with their neighbors”.

In 1971, Fred founded his own production company, Family Communications, to produce Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and related materials for children, families and professionals.

Neighborhood Watch is composed of citizens interested in decreasing the amount of crimes, such as burglary and vandalism that occur in their neighborhoods. As part of the program, unincorporated residents of St. Charles County are trained to protect their property and themselves by securing their home from unlawful entry.
