U.S. Army (1775 - Present)The Mission of the United States Army remains constant: "This We'll Defend" has been the Army's motto since the Revolutionary War. Their purpose is timeless and clear: to fight and win the Nation's wars. When the Army hits the dirt, America means business. Their teammates don't want to fight without them, and their enemies are wise to fear them. They are not a Pacific Army or a Europe Army. They are not Brigade-centric or Division-centric. They are a global force that fights when called upon at the scale required. To do that, they must stay grounded, and dedicate their energy in four focus areas: Warfighting, Delivering Ready Combat Formation, Continuous Transformation and Strengthening the Profession.
